Antony brings more than two decades of leadership experience transforming complex transport, outsourcing and technology programs across the UK and beyond. His career includes some of the most pivotal roles in the evolution of modern fare collection, ticketing and online/mobile retailing:

  • Chief Executive, Rail Settlement Plan (RSP) – where he oversaw the UK rail industry’s £6bn ticketing and settlement system, driving the transformation of legacy retail and settlement infrastructure into a multi-vendor environment.
  • Chief Executive and Chairman, Transys / TfL Oyster PFI JV – where he led the consortium responsible for Oyster ticketing services handling £3bn in annual revenue and over 1 billion journeys a year, successfully guiding the strategic transition of London’s flagship smartcard program into new supply arrangements for TfL.
  • ITSO – Non-Executive Board Member – where he worked on behalf of National Rail in establishing the standards and target operating processes for ITSO standards and national roll-out.

These experiences place Antony at the very heart of two of the most influential ticketing systems in the world – Oyster and the UK rail retailing environment – both of which set global benchmarks for what modern transit payments could achieve.

Since then, Antony has continued to lead major public and private sector transformations, including senior executive roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Capita, where he became COO of Public Sector a £1.5bn business with 10,000 employees. He has successfully steered businesses through restructuring, TOM, digital transformation, acquisitions and disposals, and sustainable growth. Whilst at Capita he was also responsible for the introduction of the IT systems and back-office services for ULEZ (Ultra Low Emissions Zone) which has had a major impact on London’s air quality.
