Peter has deep payments and transportation technology expertise. During his career as a senior executive at major Banks, he has been the architect of multiple business strategies that continue to deliver long term market-leading performance in the very competitive and heavily regulated Payments industry.

Peter has overseen the implementation of global solutions utilising the latest technology and innovative business architectures to create fast, flexible, low cost and fully compliant next-generation business models for diverse Payments functions across the finance and technology sectors.

Most recently Peter led the implementation of Open Loop payments in Australia for the Sydney Opal system, enabling customers to pay for all modes of public transportation across the Opal network using EMV contactless payments.

With an extensive and diverse background in the Payments industry encompassing senior executive roles in Risk, Audit, Technology, Operations and Product management, his breadth of experience ensures a balanced and informed view. His background in the cards and payments business extends over 40 years.  He is an innovator and an excellent strategic thinker who understands industry direction. Peter has presented at Payments industry conferences in Australia, Asia and Europe and has represented his employers on various Payments Industry Boards.
