Systems Test Engineer
Type: Contract and Permanent opportunities available
Location: Sydney and Brisbane preferred, including remote working opportunities
We are currently looking for a well organised, focused System Test Engineer ready for their next challenge within a dynamic team.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write, document, execute and maintain test cases while working closely with senior members of the product verification and validation team.
- Create, maintain, and enhance test framework tools to improve the testing workflow.
- Reproduce defects and identify faulty software or hardware components.
- Produce Test Plans and Test Reports.
- Ability to work independently on small projects if required.
- Support business users during User Acceptance Testing.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Essential:
- Degree in system, software or electrical engineering, computer science, information systems or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
Desirable:
- ISTQB certification
Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and practices.
- Working knowledge and experience in Test and Defect Management tools.
- Strong verbal, written, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experienced in writing of SQL queries and oracle databases
- Experience testing SOAP and REST APIs, using tools such as SOAPUI and Postman
Desirable:
- Transportation and Payments experience.
- Terminals/POS experience.
